| From the Chairman |
I have the pleasure to present the profile of Satya (Social work/research Academy for action and protection of Truth and Yearning for its Anticipation).
We at Satya understand that no work of consequence can either be initiated or accomplished if implementing organizations are not armed with requisite and adequate primary and secondary database. This is also crucial for the organizations to communicate with the grassroot, and percolate the results to the target sections. It needs to be especially mentioned that innovative ideas for human development are not realized until prescribed systems are not applied. |
 |
We at Satya diagnose the societal health & its wounded dimensions in order to provide proper treatment, to create a scenario wherein each and every individual shall survive, live, and lead healthy societal life, being a part of healthy and progressive society.
The Satya seeks to strengthen and develop human resources that act upon true, real, and right direction, ultimately nurturing the bonds of the community spirit and social justice, creating peace and harmony, and striving for sustainable human development.
Satya recognizes the need and significance of academic programmes serving the cause of social sector. Satya has therefore launched an AIU recognized distance-learning course in Master of Social Work. Academic programmes in management, and action research are on the anvil.
Satya functions as a resource centre dedicated to the larger goals and objectives of social sector. The resourcecentre caters to the needs and requirements of the NGOs, by ways of capacity building the human resources, systems integration, and project services. Satya undertakes field research and fact-finding that are central to evolve policies and systems necessary to follow activities, projects, and programmes.
Satya has interacted with several institutional and individual friends, during our brief journey. It is pertinent to mention herein the UNICEF, UNFPA, World Bank, and Asian Development Bank. Thanks are also due to the Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Programme (RUIDP), Jaipur Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Ltd., Jaipur Nagar Nigam, Rajasthan AIDS Controls Society, and ESIC–NACO. Satya has continues to work with the Government of Rajasthan’s departments of police, health, rural development, panchayati raj, and several district administrations. Fruitful work has been executed through the cooperation of the DoorDarshan, Institute of Development Studies, Dainik Bhaskar, Rajasthan Patrika, Bhaskar TV, the market research organization MaRS, NK Buildcon, etc.
I like to extend my sincere gratitude towards the communities, whom we serve, for providing their consistent support in all our developmental endeavors.
Finally, I would like to underline that building accountability not an ongoing process. We look forward to your valuable advice, guidance, and indulgence to enable us to institutionalize accountability within our institution, in our endeavours, and the larger objectives of the Satya.
